A little glimpse into "T" as my friends call me sometimes...

I love music. I have loved it since...always....
My parents were both musicians and listening, singing or playing simple melodies on the piano was as natural as breathing. I remember at one point inviting my family to an "performance" of an "Opera" that I "composed" aged three, based on the story of "Three little piggies and a big bad wolf"... I was always surrounded by Music and it was a fun to express ideas through it... At the age of four, after hearing a beautiful violin and piano recital, I begged for a violin and a few months later lessons began...(I guess, in me, the power of persuasion and stubbornness showed up early...)
And then there was studying, much hard work, practicing the violin several hours a day for many years...
I grew up to be a passionate advocate for live "art/classical music" performance. It became my mission to bring an awareness to others about this often misunderstood medium of expression.
In our time, the pure sound of music and the idea of making sounds/music unfettered by amplification is more of a rarity than the norm.
But on the other hand, I have felt the need to make this "art" music more relevant for a while now. In my mind, it has to connect with today's audience - people who are used to being bombarded with technological advances of our multimedia world. So I searched for an outlet for the ideas brewing in my head, and at last, with much persistence, those ideas materialized into the envisioned Festival of Music and Fine Arts that would bring exceptional performing and visual artists together for beautiful collaborations in projects based around pure "art music".
Connecting the dots. That is the idea. In fact it's a constellation of bright, different-sized stars coming together to form a perfect constellation...
I am the founder and artistic director of the Constella Festival http://www.constellafestival.org in Cincinnati, USA. Among the many events, this festival presents world-renown musicians, dancers, visual artists and newly commissioned music, visual art and choreography works.
I love playing chamber music and have been fortunate to collaborate in concerts with such outstanding musicians as Joshua Bell, Jeremy Denk, Bryce Dessner, Ivry Gitlis, Steven Isserlis, Elizabeth Leonskaja, Nico Muhly and Ted Nash.
As as soloist I worked with conductor Paavo Jarvi and Sarah Ioannides among others and appeared with London Musici, St Petersburg Philharmonic and Spartanburg Philharmonic orchestras.
I also perform with the Constella String Trio and the newly established London International Players Ensemble.
At this time, I am based in Cincinnati, Ohio, where wonderful things are happening in the world of Art and especially Music.
